Russian-born, Bronx-raised singer Regina Spektor is playing a FREE show at Soundfix Records (110 Bedford Ave) on Saturday, April 19. Doors for the 1pm show open at 12:45pm, but god knows how early you'll have to show up to get a spot.
I saw her play at the Warsaw, and she was quirky and charming as you might expect. I didn't much care for her band though; I thought the strongest part of the concert was when she played solo. Anyway, with her ability to draw both the hipster and Grey's Anatomy crowd, I'm sure her free show is going to be crowded as all bloody hell. Good luck!
